The Pudong Football Stadium project was undertaken by Jiushi Group. The construction site is located in the wedge-shaped green area of Zhangjiabang. The total construction area of the stadium is 139,304 square meters, and the fixed number of seats is 33,765. There is a three-layer competition stadium and two training stadiums on the ground.
The football field is arranged in a north-south direction (15°west from north). Two outdoor training fields are set on the west side of the main court to form a square, flat and symmetrical layout on the central axis; a green entrance square is set on the north side near Jinxiu East Road as a match time A buffer space for the arrival of a large number of people; at the same time, a car loop is set up along the outer circle of the football field, and the traffic flow line design and the entrance and exit layout are rationally implemented to achieve the separation of people and vehicles. In order to meet the technical standards and requirements of the AFC and FIFA for professional football stadiums, the stadiums rely on sinking the playing field and raising the underground space to improve evacuation efficiency.
The roof of the stadium adopts a prestressed spoke-like tension system, just like a bicycle hub covering the stadium horizontally. The biggest feature is the combination of custom space steel structures and cable net, replacing the heavy and cumbersome steel truss system in the past. The biggest advantage is light weight. The steel consumption of the entire roof is about 4600 tons, which is about 50% less steel consumption than the traditional construction methods in the past.
The innermost circle of the roof is composed of transparent sunlight panels, allowing sunlight to pass through and shine on the turf. The outer circle of roofs is composed of white aluminum composite panels and membrane structures. The entire roof stretches and closes in the air at a certain slope. And drainage pipes are being installed around the roof to ensure the discharge of rainwater in rainy days. Under the sun board, there is a circle of horse tracks for arranging lights, camera positions, etc. The height is also higher than the last row of stands on the upper floor, so that the sight of the audience will not be blocked.
In addition, the stadium adopts a rectangular rounded corner double-layer grandstand layout, and the platform layer is completely open to the stadium.
